Fighting helps you learn how to defend yourself

Fighting is essential to progress in karate-do which aims at teaching means of defense.

Kumite, in its various forms, is a test, and often, a real one!

Karate fights are generally similar to those practiced in sports competitions.

However, for the sake of realism, we do not teach this type of fight in our club.

Prepare the trainees to fight “fore real”

We prefer to prepare the trainees as much as possible to a confrontation without framework, nor rule, nor prohibition.

Thus, fighting practice in our club is based on pure self defense and not on competition techniques that are not adapted to the reality of the street!

The notion of contact

Free fights are divided into two parts: with and without protection!

Fighting with protections, helmets, gloves, cups, etc., allows to include in the practice of karate-do a new element, very often absent or neglected in the TRADITIONAL dojos, but that essential: the notion of CONTACT!

Control and tactical behavior

Kumite requires technical perfection, mental control and the notion of tactical behavior, all of which give the fighters an overall attitude: the union of body and mind.
