In this video from the online self defense course “Martial Studies: Kyusho Jitsu”, discover how to activate pressure points.

3 WAYS TO REACH PRESSURE POINTS

There are three ways to reach pressure points when you are lucky enough to reach them in the street. Here, we are in dojo mode, in research laboratory mode, which means that we are not outside in real conditions.

So there are three ways to reach these points:

  • BY PRESSING

Under pressure, obviously in the street an aggressor grabs you, so you don’t press on his arm, he doesn’t give a damn, he’ll break your mouth. I mean, you have to call a spade a spade!

If I am next to the pressure point and I press hard, nothing happens! So you have to be very precise and target a specific part.

  • BY FRICTION

If the individual does not intend to fall, you can rub certain nerve points, provided that he is “nervously sensitive”. It also depends on the context.

Example: In the dojo, it can work on a partner. Outside, with stress and adrenaline, the effect can be a bit inhibited. Remember, the dojo is not the street, it has nothing to do with it! But it works!

  • BY INFLICTING AN IMPACT

You will have to hit the points by striking. Be careful, when you practice with a partner not to hurt yourself. Let’s be modest, it’s not a punching bag. When someone does it to you, you won’t like it as much.

So don’t really hit the points because then it can be knocked out. And if you hit close, you can cause a lot of damage.

So, friction, pressure, impact. Remember that.
