In this video, I’ll explain why it’s very important – even paramount – to remain mobile and to know how to protect your vital parts in street fighting.

Always keep on moving

Consider being the prey of a skilled sniper…

If you fight too straight and frozen, you resemble a robot trying to escape. Then, if he’s good enough, the sniper will kill you in one shot.

So, imagine and think “he’s targeting me, I have to keep moving” and this idea must be reflected in your attitude when you fight. You must move randomly without doing anything arbitrarily either. Obviously, your guard must always protect your face: always stay hidden, but always on the move.

“Make yourself small”

This is very important, even more so if you are tall: make yourself small!

If you keep your guard up but are stiff on your legs, you expose all your vital parts. However, you must not forget that in a street fight, even the most vicious blows are unfortunately allowed. Thus, it can quickly degenerate, especially since your attacker may carry a weapon…

I therefore advise you to curl up on yourself and put yourself at the height of the aggressor (or your partner, in training).

Do not expose yourself, protect your vital parts and your face as much as possible by “curling up” on yourself, while keeping an eye on your surroundings. Hide yourself!
