“That’s great, but not enough!”
Of course, having a great cardio is a huge advantage, and it can make all the difference in the event of an attack. When we are under stress, our muscles need more oxygen, our heart beats faster. However, in the event of an attack, we can all quickly become tetanized, as our muscles are less well oxygenated. So, if you are used to practicing cardio, to work your heart regularly, YES, it is very good but it won’t do the entire job.
“Let’s have it!”
What does it mean?
In self defense, having a good cardio is a big bonus, but it’s not a requirement. It is simply highly recommended!
The most important things in self defense are determination, aggressiveness and explosiveness!
A self defense fight lasts 10, 20, 30 seconds, maybe 1 minute, but never 3 minutes like a boxing round.
So, it all depends on the situation, but it is important not to let a self defense fight last for too long. To avoid this, you must be explosive. Let the animal in you come out and “let’s have it” over a short period of time and give it all you have.
